PRACTICE
- ⟡ Cottage of a Hedgewytch
Website of Dawn, a practitioner of European Traditional Witchcraft. I recommend her essay, “Which Wytch is Witch?”, which outlines the differences between Wicca (the 20th century practice that has influenced most contemporary witches today) and Trad Craft in general.
- ⟡ Encyclopedia of Shinto

If it’s a cloudy night and you still want to note the current face of Luna from your current location, go here!
- ⟡ The White Sage Black Market
VICE exposé on the overexploitation of white sage for mass market smudging, and its deleterious impact on Native communities and practitioners.
RECOMMENDED RETAILERS
I don’t receive any kickbacks from these people! I doubt they know this site exists. I’ve just really enjoyed what I’ve purchased from them—and they have magickal applications, too.
- ⟡ BROOMCHICK on Etsy
The Etsy storefront of Scheumack Broom Company. Traditional broomcorn, dyed besoms—and ostrich feather dusters—handcrafted in Oregon. My kitchen and turkey wing besoms were made by them!
- ⟡ Mascherina on Etsy
Maker of festive leather masks and other costume accessories—capes, headdresses, and corsets. I have a gorgeous, lacy fox mask made by them, and its red velvet lining makes it extremely comfortable to wear.
- ⟡ RusticPath on Etsy
Jeweller on Etsy who crafts wonderful precious stone pendants and necklaces. I’ve bought multiple pendants from her, and they’re even more beautiful in-hand. She bundled cute owl zipper pullers with my order, too! So sweet.
- ⟡ Altar Besoms by LunaDolceCreations on Etsy
She crafts other items too, but I just had to link to her wonderful altar besoms. She makes new styles with different stones all the time, so if you don’t see a besom that grabs you, check back later! She also takes custom requests.
